CCIFV French Business Awards 2016

On January 14th 2016, the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Vietnam (CCIFV) organized the 3rd edition of the French Business Awards.


Air France received its award from the CCIFV, Mr. Nicolas Du Pasquier. This prize rewards the company’s ability to product and share a message in Vietnam, in the full respect of the brand image. The communication is the efficient way of promoting the company’s values and the French savoir-faire.

Air France is the French Flag Carrier, which is a subsidiary of the Air France - KLM Group. In 2015, Air France served 179 destinations in 80 countries (7 in Vietnam). It controlled exactly 344 planes and hires nearly 64.000 employees worldwide. 

The Jury has recognized the adaptation of Air France's communication campaign to the local context at a limited cost. They highlighted the fact that Air France put the customers’ stories at the heart of the campaign.  

This prize was kindly sponsored by Ta Lai Adventure, who offered a teambuilding for 10 persons. The jury rewarded the winner for its initiative to support external charity actions and to develop its own Corporate Social Responsibility projects. The jury focused on the internal strategy but also on the company’s vision.

Exo travel is the first foreign company to be granted a tourism operating license in Vietnam in 1993. It was founded by Eric Merlin, Denis Colonna and Olivier Colomès. The offices are in 9 Pacific Asian countries and there are 2 in Vietnam. It proposes travels in all around the world, mostly in Asia. In 2014, its responsible activities were awarded by Travelife, an excellence in sustainability certification.

The jury was convinced by the strong commitment of the different departments of Exo travel in the implementation of the CSR strategy. They perceived a high motivation and applaud their innovative approach.

The winner, awarded by DS Avocats, received a free legal service and support. The jury rewarded the winner for its ability to have launched a new activity in Vietnam. The jury focused on the project originality, on the risks and constraints the entrepreneur may have faced and on the capacity and potential for development and continuation.

Ubiquest is an urban game and event agency based in Ho Chi Minh City. Created in 2014 by Nicolas Plesse, its goal is to organize live-action games and scripted events all over Vietnam for local and international companies, private groups and individuals. The company offers urban games to corporates, individuals and public events.

Ubiquest developed an original and innovative concept, well anchored in the local culture, which has earned them to be chosen by the Jury.

This prize was sponsored by Air France, the Gold Sponsor for the Awards. The winner, rewarded by Mr. Guilhem Laurans, Country Head of Air France KLM, received a return ticket to Paris.

This company has been selected for its HR policy towards Alumnis. It allowed them to led outstanding projects and achievements. 

Capgemini is the French multinational management consulting corporation. Created in 1967 by Serge Kampf, it is now one of the world’s largest consulting, technology and outsourcing companies with over 180 000 employees in over 40 countries. It operates in North and South America, Northern Europe, Asia Pacific, Central and Southern Europe. Services are delivered through four disciplines: Consulting, Technology, Outsourcing and Local Professional Services. In Vietnam, Capgemini is based in Ho Chi Minh City.

Cap Gemini has developed a comprehensive Human Resource Strategy to encourage the France alumni to join their team. The strategy includes among others corporate scheme and social activities. The jury was also impressed by the different achievement of the alumni.

Created in 2013 on the occasion of the year France-Vietnam, this competition is tailored to show the dynamism of the French companies or individuals settled in Vietnam. By rewarding the best of them, CCIFV promotes French savoir-faire and highlights the business community’s innovation and integration capacities together with its adaptability to the Vietnamese market.
