FrieslandCampina has set up business in Vietnam since1996, supplied more than 1 billion milk units every year with many favorite brands such as Dutch Lady, Friso,Yomost. FrieslandCampina Vietnam has strived to research and develop new nutritious products to meet consumers’ expectation.

FrieslandCampina Vietnam’s factories in Binh Duong and Ha Nam are invested with the most advanced technology, automated management system, completed sewage treatment system, saving-energy measures and using clean energy sources to protect the environment.

After 20 years in Vietnam, FrieslandCampina has become a company that brings the highest quality products to every corner of the country, a company that nourishes millions of Vietnamese consumers with the best nutrition; from the first nutrition of the day for families to the first nutrition of life for babies.

To recognize the significant contributions of FrieslandCampina Vietnam during the past 20 years, FrieslandCampina Vietnam was honorably granted the Labor Medal II by the Government in 2011. In May 2013, FrieslandCampina Vietnam was awarded “Business trusted by consumers” by Vietnam Standard and Consumer Association. In June 2013, FrieslandCampina Vietnam was honored the first ever company in Vietnam to achieve “Asia Responsible Entrepreneurship Award” for achievements in CSR activities in the Asia Pacific region.

FrieslandCampina was awarded a certificate of merit by Prime Minister; a certificate of merit by Ministry of Education and Training, as well as Vietnam Navy, and the High Command of Vietnam Coast Guard in 2014; a certificate of merit by Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment.

CSR ACTIVITIES:

Den Dom Dom Study Encouragement program: Initiated in 2002 to prevent poor children from dropping out of school, the Den Dom Dom program has supported construction of new schools in rural areas to give a better learning and teaching environment to school children and teachers. To date, Den Dom Dom program has given more than VND30 billion to the study encouragement program to build 20 schools nationwide and granted 25,000 scholarships to needy school children in rural areas.

Dairy Development Program:

This program was launched in 1995 and has reinforced position of FrieslandCampina Vietnam as one of the pioneer companies in developing sustainable dairy husbandry sector over the past 20 years. The program is also a typical model of creating shared value for community to promote economic development, helps providing jobs and increases income of local farmers.

Currently, FrieslandCampina Vietnam has purchased fresh milk directly from 4,000 households everyday with ceaseless improvement of quality.

Cow Bank: FrieslandCampina has joined in the “Cow Bank” project initiated by Viet Nam Red Cross. In the past four years, the company has contributed 240 cows to farmers in remote areas to help them escape from poverty and attain a higher standard of living.

Drink. Move. Be strong: Inspired by the need to work towards improving the nutritional status of children in the region, FrieslandCampina initiated the Drink, Move, Be Strong campaign in partnership with Jr. NBA. Jr. NBA - together with Drink Move and Be Strong - will allow children across the region to adopt an active and healthy lifestyles through play, sports and proper nutrition. In Vietnam, there were more than 5,000 kids participating this campaign after 2 years.

ENTOBEL

Entobel is a Belgian company active in the field of Biotechnology. The aim of Entobel is to supply innovative and sustainable ingredients made from insects. The company is now expanding its activities to Vietnam.

Entobel considers insects as a sustainable resource with promising potential. Insect have the capacity to replace non-sustainable ingredients currently used in the animal feed industry. Indeed, one of the resources currently used is fishmeal, which is made from wild fish caught from the ocean.

Fish stocks are depleting while the demand for this feed source is growing. Entobel considers insect as a truly viable and sustainable alternative to this resource. Insects are processed into high quality ingredients that are supplied to various industries, including the animal feed, pharmaceutical and cosmetic industry.

Entobel also supplies organic fertilizer generated from its production process. This organic fertilizer will be supplied in Vietnam in order to support the development of high quality organic farming.

Entobel relies on more than 10 years experience in research and development in Europe with the support of local authorities. Entobel is now developing its facilities in Vietnam. This is an emerging industry existing in most of developed countries around the world but it would be the first factory of its kind in Vietnam. The know-how and technology are being transferred and adapted to Vietnam.

ITEQ VIETNAM

ITEQ Vietnam Co., Ltd is specialized in the manufacturing of precision sheet metal housings, enclosures, cabinets and components made from aluminium, steel or stainless steel. ITEQ processes materials with laser cutting, machining, bending and clinching. The assemblies are welded together with TIG or MIG processing. Due to the small availability of sheet metal CNC machines like laser cutting, ITEQ created a solution for companies in Vietnam to purchase their products on local market and save costs and time.
