Start to change for a stronger and more resilient female entrepreneur community

Under the leadership of Ms. Nguyen Thi Tuyet Minh - Founder and General Director of the WeLead Pioneering Women's Leadership Network, within just 3 years of operation, WeLead has affirmed its role as a gathering place for pioneering female leaders with passion, intelligence, experience and dedication to the sustainable development of the Vietnamese women entrepreneurs community.

Established on September 7, 2022 with the mission of promoting and elevating female entrepreneurs and female-owned businesses through proactive change, collaboration and innovation, WeLead has a vision of "Towards a future where women are not only economically successful but also have happy lives, develop their full potential, and contribute to a more equal and sustainable society".

WeLead is a pioneering changemaker, taking a proactive and collaborative approach to driving change. WeLead works closely with a network of local and international partners to develop initiatives, programs and resources that address the unique challenges faced by women entrepreneurs and women-owned businesses. WeLead’s focus is on providing practical, actionable solutions to enhance women’s economic empowerment and realize their full potential.

Over the past 3 years, WeLead has launched many initiatives and proposed many creative activities, keeping up with new trends in the world, such as participating in the Digital Transformation Program in cooperation between the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies (VBSP) and the Asia Foundation in Vietnam (TAF), as a service provider. WeLead experts have compiled two training curriculums with 43 modules on business management skills, especially the module on responsible and safe business in the digital environment, specifically for women entrepreneurs, women business owners and small and micro business owners - VBSP's customers - to improve skills in capital management, cash flow, effective use of loans and sustainable business management. The document set has been integrated with VBSP's digital platform and posted on WeLead's website for free for learners.

In the IB project of the Department of Enterprise Development, Ministry of Planning and Investment (now the Ministry of Finance), WeLead is the consulting and introducing unit for women-owned enterprises, applying the inclusive business model (IB). All 3 enterprises consulted and introduced by WeLead met the IB Vietnam standards, in which Ms. Ha Thi Vinh, General Director of Quang Vinh Ceramics Company Limited, was honored to receive the IB ASEAN award in Laos in 2024.

Vietnamese delegation in Global Sumit of Women 2024 - Spain

Every year, WeLead organizes a Forum for Women Entrepreneurs. The forum is a place to update information and discuss common concerns of women entrepreneurs. In March 2025 in Hanoi, Welead hosted the  Women Entrepreneurs Forum 2025 titled: “Mental health in the digital age – Creating a sustainable working environment”, attracting more than 200 delegates, including government officials, business leaders, psychologists, specialists and women entrepreneurs. The forum was honored to welcome Mr. Cao Tien Duc- the only current professor of psychiatry in Vietnam to share. The event is highly appreciated because it is a common concern of the whole society, especially for female entrepreneurs - who are facing double pressure in the digital business environment.

WeLead has initiated the program “Improving mental health towards sustainable development for female entrepreneurs” for the period 4/2024 – 4/2025, with the support of the Inter-Pacific Group (IPPG). WeLead has coordinated with the Association of Women Entrepreneurs of provinces and cities to organize seminars on mental health. Activities organized by WeLead include mini fairs, business connections and the “Entrepreneur Song” gala to support female entrepreneurs in finding partners, customers and outlets for their products as well as balancing work and life.

Vietnamese delegation in Global Summit of Women 2023 -  Dubai

The highlight of WeLead is to grasp new trends, to design activities to support female entrepreneurs in Vietnam, through international cooperation. Specifically, WeLead has coordinated with the Department of Trade Promotion, Ministry of Industry and Trade to organize a meeting and dialogue between Ms. Ngozi Okonjo Iweala - Director General of the World Trade Organization (WTO) with female entrepreneurs; In coordination with the Department of International Organizations, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam organized a meeting between Ms. Tatiana Valovaya, Director General of the United Nations Office in Geneva, and female entrepreneurs; WeLead coordinated with the China-ASEAN Business Council to organize a business connection between Vietnamese and Chinese enterprises in Hanoi with more than 100 enterprises participating, focusing mainly on the fields of Traditional Medicine, Pharmaceuticals, Food, Textiles, Electronics, and Technology.

In addition, WeLead also organizes business delegations to attend CEOs Forums/Conferences in ASEAN countries, China, and the Global Summit of Women (GSW). At these events, WeLead coordinates with local partners to organize business networking programs for female entrepreneurs participating in the delegation to have the opportunity to share, learn experiences, and find partners.

In particular, the Business Connection Program in Spain - a sideline activity of GSW 2024 was honored to welcome Madam Irene Natividad - GSW President and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Vietnam to Spain and her wife to attend and speak. The Global Summit of Women is a gathering place for government leaders, business people, and community activists from many countries and territories around the world.
