Ho Thi Truc Ly - Cash Cum Account Receive Supervisor Autogrill Vfs F&B - Challenges Are Valuable Lessons Of Life

From the role of internal responsibility in the family range, today’s women have asserted their value by their career and their lifting up themselves. On the occasion of International Women’s Day March 8, many women coming in the special issue "Women and Desire" will be sharing many interesting things about work and their life view.

I’ve known that you used to work for many five-star hotels for 20 years now. How have you applied what you’ve learned?

I started with a low position in F&B. With the determination to become a talented employee, I made an effort to learn in the international professional environment and I got on-the-job training abroad. Besides, the hotel offered me the opportunity to self-challenge in accountancy. I think, I’ve got today’s position thanks to my willingness to rise higher and how I knew to capture the opportunity.

Did you encounter difficulties on the way of selfassertion?

Why not? Sometimes the abundant work pressure causes me the stress. However, just think, some day I would have the job I like helps me overcome. That also helps me recognize that challenges are valuable lessons of life. If we try hard and work hard, as hard as we can, sooner or later, we’ll get the best result.

Will you share about your family? How do you balance work and family?

It’s not easy to balance work and family. However, with the help of my husband in kid’s education and consultancy on life’s problems, I feel the blessing. More happiness means he agrees with me in caring for my mother. His mother has passed away, therefore my mother is the embodiment of both mothers which we have to take good care and cherish.
