Dr. Ly Thi Mai - Psychological consultant; Director - Applied Psychology Company; Deputy Director - Vietnamese Costume Research Institute; Welead strategic advisor - Women entrepreneurs with good mental health will be more successful and happier
The Global Summit of Women is a major event for women held annually around the world. The conference gathered many delegates who are representatives of senior leaders from countries, women's organizations around the world and female leaders of the world's leading corporations and businesses. Along with the delegation of Vietnamese women entrepreneurs attending Global Summit of Women 2024 in Spain, Dr. Ly Thi Mai - Psychological consultant; Director - Applied Psychology Company; Deputy Director - Vietnamese Costume Research Institute; Welead strategic advisor had very interesting shares.
Dr. Ly Thi Mai, Ms. Trieu Kim Chi - representative of the Vietnamese Women's Union in France, Mdm. Nguyen Thi Tuyet Minh - Chairwoman of WeLead
Participated in the Global Summit of Women (GSW) multiple times as an Educator, businesswomen and Psychological Consultant. In your opinion, what benefits have Vietnamese women entrepreneurs gained from participating in GSW conferences?
I am fortunate to have participated in the Global Summit of Women many times, so I have the following feelings:
- Global Summits of Women focus on the change and development of women.
- The issue of promoting gender equality is always present throughout the annual conferences.
- Recognition of the positive role of female scientists around the world.
- Social and educational policies that care about women and girls are becoming more specific and practical.
- Women have an impact on economic development and help develop the global economy.
Particularly for female entrepreneurs, there are support policies from other countries for businesses. From starting a business to promoting the dynamic and creative spirit of ownership of female entrepreneurs. After the conferences, there was practical attention from governments.
- It is also impossible to deny the great and effective contribution of female entrepreneurs to the economy in developing the global economy.
- Female entrepreneurs are also linked in business, and Vietnamese embassies at places where annual conferences are held facilitate connections and support female businesses with businesses in host countries. quite successful.
Please tell us your thoughts about this year's Global Summit of Women?
To me, GSW is a great school for women in the world. Therefore, even though I attend many conferences, I am always ready in the role of “going to school”.
I really like this topic because everyone has a job and a family; But women will face more challenges in becoming global citizens to contribute to building an energy economy of the future.
In my opinion, female entrepreneurs need fundamental communication skills to build an increasingly strong company culture.
-Always listen and understand employees to know what workers need from leaders.
-After the COVID 19 pandemic, the way of working has changed (working from home, working at the company). Therefore, company leaders must have the knowledge to adapt to the application of digital science and technology and AI issues at work (female entrepreneurs have not participated much in the field of artificial intelligence).
-The workforce is young people who do not have much experience but have a lot of potential, so female leaders need to have appropriate strategies to attract young talents.
- There is no perfect solution for the present, so female entrepreneurs must always search and create with true passion.
In addition to the above roles, you are also a Senior Advisor of Saigon New Day Publication. Could you please give your comments on the conference's communication issues?
GSW is a major event for women around the world, so the role of the media is very important for countries, including Vietnam. Many newspapers and news agencies attended and reported the news quickly and to ensure topicality.
Particularly, the Vietnamese delegation created a surprise and fun when giving away the Saigon New Day publication to customers, partners, especially to the important international guests such as the Chairwoman of the Global Summit of Women (Ms. Irene Natividad), Chairwoman of PhilWEN (Ms. Maria Aurora D. Geotina – Garcia).
Many guests rated Saigon New Day as beautifully and elegantly magazine.
In particular, this publication is in English so they can easily read a lot of rich content, such as information and images about previous GSW events with the participation of female Vice Presidents of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam; or brave, creative and brand-affirming Vietnamese businesswomen such as: Mdm. Nguyen Thi Tuyet Minh - Chairwoman of Welead (the first Vietnamese to receive an ASEAN award), Ms. Nguyen Thi Dien - General Director, An Phuoc Company (with Pierre Cardin brand developed in Vietnam until today), Master of Pharmacy Nguyen Thi Huong Lien - Vice President of Sao Thai Duong Company (has 14 pharmaceutical patents),…
On behalf of the organizers of Saigon New Day, we are very happy to have contributed to introducing typical Vietnamese businesswomen to the world.
According to you, to stand shoulder to shoulder with women's businesses from other countries on the path of integration, what factors do Vietnamese women's businesses need to have?
In my opinion, to be able to integrate internationally, in addition to the action programs and common conventions of annual conferences, women-owned businesses need to proactively grasp world economic trends; learn about the circular economy, the economy of technological intelligence, artificial intelligence and need creativity to apply scientific achievements to your business appropriately.
Women- owned businesses also need to pioneer in protecting the ecological environment - this is urgent work for our planet; and attention should be paid to agricultural development that meets global standards, so that Vietnamese goods can be exported to everywhere in the world.
In addition to the lessons brought by the Global Summit of Women, I also especially thank the Vietnamese female Soldiers participating in UN peacekeeping, creating a radiant image of Vietnamese Women. more in the eyes of international friends.
As a strategic advisor, what are your future plans for the pioneering female leadership network Welead?
As Welead's advisor, I will first accompany and implement the organization's operational plans:
- I will participate in implementing the Project of Caring and Improving Mental Health for Women, especially Female Entrepreneurs aiming for sustainable development, because that is also one of the action programs of The Global Summit of Women 2023 was held in Dubai.
- Contribute to promoting female entrepreneurs to constantly learn, to progress in line with the region and the world. Enhance creativity in management science to lead businesses to sustainable development for a healthy future economy.
- Most importantly, when female entrepreneurs have good mental health, they will be more successful, happier and will spread happiness to their family and community.
