Family, Sweet pain
Writers Elena Pucillo Truong and Truong Van Dan have just introduced the collection of stories "Family, sweet pain" which all have the theme of family, brotherhood or love between husband and wife. In that collection of stories there are love and tears - because family is the warmest place, but without "love" it will bring a lot of suffering.
Below is the author's message conveyed in the collection of stories:
Family is a very important cell. Society can be chaotic, culture can degrade, everything can change, but the emotional values in the family cannot change. The love and solidarity of members is a stronghold against external turbulence. The family home is a place of peace and always extends its arms to protect us, a place where we return when we are tired on a life path full of thorns.
Family is like a miniature universe, where we learn how to become members of a large society. Of course there is no perfect family, no perfect parents and siblings, and no perfectly good society, but there are also conflicts, hurts and disturbances.
Currently in Western countries, there are many marriages that end in separation after just a few years. The reason is largely due to conflicts in life perspectives, lack of sympathy and sharing, leading to anger and subjective accusations against each other with false arguments. All this indicates a gradual lack of exchange, speech, communication, tolerance for oneself and loved ones.
The effects of industrial life, hustle and bustle, lack of family meals... along with changes in cultural values have also affected the personality and behavior of many people.
If there is a blood relationship without love or care to help each other, then blood relatives are not really family, sometimes they will treat each other cruelly, worse than strangers or hostile people and turn into criminals.
Perhaps, real life includes more unexpected uncertainties, darkness and dust than we think.
In life, no one can run out of love and meaning, especially with loved ones. If we are less angry, less cruel, and know how to treat each other with love, kindness, and tolerance, then we can have a peaceful family.
Love sometimes binds and makes things difficult for people. But if completely eliminated, it will cause us an indescribable torment and anxiety.
