Ho Chi Minh City gemstone association - branch representative of gemstone association in the most energetic city
At the beginning of 2016, HCMC gemstone association officially opened in HCMC.This is the fourth association- branch of Vietnam gemstone association founded this year. On the occasion, Saigon New Days had a talk with Mr. Tran Anh Tuan - Chairman of association-branch HCMC gemstone
Vietnam Gemstone Association has got three branches already, why should one more, the HCMC association-branch be founded?
Saigon-HCMC is the largest economic center of the country, the gemstone and jewelry industry is more developed than other cities.
For a long time, those who work in the industry of manufacturing gemstone, selling gemstone, jewelry, artwork have had the desire to create a “playground” to exchange ideas, to create a strong relationship to develop the career, getting more connected to exploit to the fullest the gemstone jewelry industry in Vietnam, lifting it to more heights. We therefore have launched HCMC Gemstone Association-Branch to meet the expectation, and also to create more conditions to link, join and walk hands in hands with international friends in the industry.
What is specifically the role of the Gemstone Association-Branch?
The mean to tighten the solidarity, to help members to maintain, develop, enhance professional skills, know-how about gemstone; preserving ethics, receive and disseminate new technology, playing the part in developing gemstone industry in HCMC.
We will serve as a bridge linking the contacts with local authorities, social organizations, businesses at home and abroad and, together with Vietnam Gemstone Association protect the rightful interests of members and consumers.
We are to give consultancy and reviews to government about management policy in the field of gemstone, selling gemstone and jewelries; we also design action plan, disseminate and connect information on media; publicize and provide information about technology, and gemstone world over to members by different forms (such as discussion, exchanges, introducing, meeting, discussing with scientists, and artisans in the industry…)
The Gemstone Association-branch will also join in organizing local trade fairs and international trade fairs (promptly in Thailand, HongKong, Myanmar, Italy, the USA…) to create conditions for members’ accessibility to international market.
Particularly, we will study the plan to organize evaluation centers of gemstone, gold in line with international standards and the Display center - selling products – introducing products of members to customers at home and abroad via inviting tourists to visit. All our effort will be devoted very soon on building a permanent Exhibition center and transactions in gemstone, premium jewelries in HCMC.
What will HCMC Gemstone Association-Branch do to carry out the mission, please?
In coming time, we will develop our ambition for the career market, jewelries at home and the members, those who share accomplishing human resource management to realize the missions above mentioned and to build up a gemstone association-branch office to be worth of representative thereof in a large city of Vietnam.
